The Siemens mobile Cannondale mountain bike racing team will contend the 2004 season with a very strong line-up of riders:
For Cross Country Christoph Sauser and Roel Paulissen will be joined by Fredrik Kessiakoff from Sweden, in the Elite category. Racing for the team in the Juniors will be current World, European and Czech national Champion and Junior World Cup winner, Jaroslav Kulhavy. Long distance legend Tinker Juarez will contest all the major 12 and 24 hour race in the US and abroad.
Cedric Gracia will continue to represent the team, challenging for the key downhill and four-cross titles.
Markus Rainer, co-team boss:
"I am really proud of our rider line-up for 2004, it is a great mix of established and emerging talent. With the Olympic Games in Athens in addition to all the major international races, 2004 is an important year for all our riders.
Cedric continues to be one of the most talented and distinctive downhill and 4X racers around and he aims to display his Siemens mobile Cannondale jersey on all the key international podiums of the season.
In XC Christoph and Roel will be strong contenders in the Elite World Cup, World Championships and Olympic Games. Joining the team this year, Fredrik can benefit from Roel and Christoph’s experience to develop his XC talent. Racing in the Junior category and also a new team member, Jaroslav has already shown himself to be a superior racer amongst his peers and we intend to give him a good platform to develop himself further.
And there’s no stopping MTB legend Tinker Juarez from maintaining his domination of the solo 12 and 24 hour races in the US and worldwide.
It’s going to be an exciting year!"
