Upcoming Cycling Workshop for Novice to Intermediate Cyclists

The topics to be covered include bike fit, conditioning and stretching, common cycling injuries, periodization basics and race preparation, nutrition and a bit on bike maintenance. The cost for the seminar is $45 before April 15, $55 after.

Featured speakers are Dr. Laura Cruz Sport Medicine Physician, Dinah Hampson Sport Physiotherapist, and David Basaraba Massage Therapist.

The seminar is being held at < a href= target=_blank>Pivot Sport Medicine and Orthopaedics. Pivot is located in the west end of Toronto in Bloor West Village.(2288 Bloor St. West).

Speed River Cycling Club - Membership Night

The Speed River Cycling Club invites interested cyclists in Guelph and surrounding areas to attend their membership information night on Wednesday April 14th starting at 7:00pm.

Meeting location is as follows:

Iron Duke House
Wellington Brewery
950 Woodlawn Road West
Guelph, Ontario

Highlights of the night will include:

- Membership information for existing and prospective club members;

- A slide show of the 2003 Tour de France and the 2003 World Road Cycling Championships, presented by Redden Media

- Draw prizes courtesy of Speed River Bicycle, Inc.

- Complimentary beer tasting courtesy of Wellington Brewery.

The Speed River Cycling Club is a new club of cyclists from the Guelph area interested in cultivating the cycling scene in and around Guelph.
Whether you are a hard-core racer or a weekend warrior we welcome you to join us. We offer numerous weekly rides, both road and mountain, catering to all abilities from novice to serious racers, and access to CCA-accredited coaching.

Owasco Stage Race

All Canadian cyclists are invited to participate in the Owasco Stage Race to be held the weekend of May 15th and 16th in Auburn, NY.

This is the first year of our stage race. The Owasco Velo Club's goal is to host a professionally run race for amateurs. Check out our race weekend link for complete details.

The Saturday road race is competitive, especially for the Cat1-2, and Cat 3 classes at 72 miles. For the Sunday Criterium, we created a downtown festival which we hope will attract several thousand viewers to watch the days racing. 

We hope many Canadians will make the short drive to Auburn and increase the level of competition. Online registration is being handled through
