National DH projects are open to all Jr. Expert and Sr. Elite athletes. These projects are geared towards helping develop high-performance athletes achieve their goals and commitments to DH & Biker Cross disciplines. The CCA is very committed to identifying the talent base in Canada and will continue to do so through the National DH & Biker Cross projects.
This year Chris Colbeck will be working towards preparing athletes to focus and deal with the pressure and stress of competing at the World Championships. Prior to competition, athletes will be given the tools needed to develop and refine the mental, technical and nutritional training and preparation vital for competing at this level.
Although projects are open to all Jr. Expert and Sr. Elite athletes, only a few will be selected to represent Canada at the World Championships this year. (See selection criteria under National Team on the CCA website). In 2003 we had a great amount of success with our projects, and with your involvement and participation we can continue this success in the coming years.
Please sign up by contacting Chris Colbeck ASAP, as space is limited.
