Wohlberg in Olympic Time Trial
We have just confirmed with Canadian cycling team leader Sean O'Donnell that Eric Wohlberg has been given a spot in the men's time trial for next Wednesday (August 18th). Originally, Canada did not have a spot, since spots were awarded to the top-25 countries in UCI ranking, and Canada was 27th. However, a couple of countries have not used all their alloted spots (including France, who will only put Christophe Moreau in the time trial), so Canada was offered a spot.
"The UCI informed us that a spot was available, so we took it and Eric will represent Canada. And yes, he did bring his time trial bike."
