Congratulations
On October 2nd Ron Hayman and Nada Jos were married in or near Penticton BC. On hand were many friends and family.
Report courtesy Pat Buchanan
Under sunny Okanagan skies and fall colors next to the shimmering Skaha lake, Ron Hayman and Nada Jos pledged their love to one another. Being of Scottish decent Ron wore a family kilt and Nada a blue chiffon dress that she made herself. Piper Patrick J. Buchanan piped the party to the 90 in attendance of the wedding. Dinner followed with the traditional speeches to the party and a blessing in Gaelic from Brian Green.
Many of B.C's top cyclists were in attendance, Bruce Spicer, Jessie Keffer, and Roland Green. The party continued well into the wee hours of the morning with the band of Chris and Lisa Prowse (Bike Barn fame) rock'n all.
Angel Fire Resort to Host 2005 Mountain Bike UCI World Cup
Angel Fire Resort (Angel Fire, New Mexico) will be the only U.S. location for the 2005 World Cup competition. The international race has not been held in the United States in the last two years.
"We chose Angel Fire Resort for its challenging mountain trails," says Christopher Burri, UCI events coordinator. "The terrain on the Sangre de Cristo mountain range provides the ultimate challenge for the world's best mountain bikers, and the resort itself has the perfect accommodations to meet the needs of our organization."
The US stop for the World Cup will be #7 for XC and #6 for DH/4X and will take place on July 9th and 10th 2005.
