Courtesy CCA
The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) is proud to present the 2005 provisional calendar of cycling events across the nation. A total of 38 events in 5 disciplines will be presented from May to November. Boosted by the amazing results of our Olympians in Athens, more then 10,000 athletes, from 5 to 65 years old, will participate in national calendar events throughout the season.
The event listed below represent the National Calendar for 2005. The CCA would like to thank all the organizers that applied to be on the National Calendar.
Road
13 events are set on the calendar for 2005. Most of them are sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the international governing body of cycling, including the only road World Cup in North America in Montréal, Québec. Also, the CCA is proud to announced the launch of a new national series with more then $10,000 in cash for Elite men and women. Furthermore, two major Games including cycling events will take place in Canada this year: the Canada Summer Games and the World Master Games.
