Meirhaeghe Starts New Team
Acording to a report on a Belgian website, 2003 world champion Filip Meirhaeghe is involved in the development of the first Belgian UCI trade team (mountain biking). Founding fathers of the team are Chistof Bruyneel and Sven Goedefroo, both members of the Belgian mountainbike club Zewieties (www.zewieties.be).
Meirhaeghe will fill the part of trainer-coach and is expected to return to World Cup racing early in 2006 (after his current suspension for using EPO ends). Roel Paulisen, current leader in UCI world ranking and close friend of Meirhaeghe, has expressed interest in joining the team, but is also talking with a German bike manufacturer.
Christmas Shopping at the CC Store
If you are planning on ordering items from the CC Store in time for Christmas delivery, don't leave it too late. We are still taking orders for cross-Canada delivery, but to ensure that you will receive your item by the 24th, you should get your order in by the end of this week (ie, Friday, noon EST).
So, there is still time to get that 12 Hour Tour DVD, or the 25th Anniversary Eddy Merckx calendar (although this one is almost sold out...).
