New Velodrome Project in Ontario
After 30 years of talking about a new Velodrome in the Province of Ontario, a Not for Profit group (principals Albert Coulier & Rob Good) have received permission through a letter of intent from the property owners of the London Gardens to construct a new velodrome in the 40,000 square foot building. The Centre is located 500m from Hwy. #401 & Wellington St. exit in London Ontario.
The name of the Facility will be named the South-Western Ontario Olympic Sports Training Centre.
Weekly training sessions will start once the track is complete. Local races will take place on weeknights. A Provincial Racing Series will happen every Saturday Night.
All races will be sanctioned by the OCA, with weekly Learn to Ride programs for youth & the general cycling community
This facility is large enough to provide many services for many sports groups in the future. (Running, Volleyball, Gym, Physio, Conditioning Centre)
Early in January there will be a Fundraising information meeting at the Centre to go over the plans & to answer questions.
All funds raised will be issued a tax receipt. 100% of the funds raised will be invested in the Centre.
This is an exciting time & an early Christmas present for the Ontario Cycling Community.
