Date: Saturday Jan 15, 2005
Symmetrics Cycling will be having the first team training camp from Jan 13 - 16, 2005. This event will be kicking off the 2005 season by bringing the entire team together for the first time.
We are inviting media, sponsors and the general public to attend this group ride/social event. We hope this event will give the media and our sponsors a way to meet and talk to our team riders, conduct media interviews, take photographs and learn more about the Symmetrics Cycling Team vision for 2005.
You are welcome to ride with the team, follow in the team car or simply meet the team following the ride.
The ride will leave from the Walnut Grove Community Centre at 10 AM and will be a leisurely 2-hour ride that will be supported by a follow vehicle and media van. Following the ride we have a room rented in the community centre for more coffee, hot chocolate and food and you can chat with the riders.

Test of Metal on record pace for sell-out
Cross-country mountain bike racing is flourishing with the Test of Metal mountain bike race selling 300 of its 800 available start numbers by Tuesday, January 4, within of four days of entries going on sale.
With the Squamish, B.C. race still more than five months away, the Test of Metal, the prestigious headline event of the North Shore Credit Union presents the Test of Metal Mountain Bike Festival, is becoming more popular than ever. In 2004, the race sold out by March 9, which is sure to be eclipsed this year.
"This race is 10 years old this year, and it's getting stronger and better every year. Mountain biking continues to grow and the Test of Metal organization continues its commitment to put on the best race anywhere," says Cliff Miller, Test of Metal executive director.
"We must be doing something right ˆit's exciting how much interest there is in this event. This is great for Squamish, the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada and a North American mountain bike mecca."
The Test of Metal takes place on June 18. For more information, or to enter, go to www.testofmetal.com.
London Velodrome News

Saturday January 8th 3 PM is only 3 days away for the Kickoff Fund-raiser for the "New" London Velodrome. The building is located just south of Hwy #401 at Wellington Rd. (Turn left at Roxburough Rd.) Doors will open at 2 PM with coffee from Tim Hortons.
Joining Casco Ltd as a Corporate Partner is Reynold Cycle on Exeter Rd in London. They have indicated their logo will be near corner 1 to take advantage of the Photo & TV opportunities that will be available beginning in the Fall.
Reynold Cycle brings a connection with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of London which will provide a steady stream of young riders for the Youth Oriented Programs at the Velodrome. Our "Future Champions" Series will have young riders for a long time and will focus on the 2012 Olympics.
Many of the initiatives at the Velodrome will be focused around the youth of London & area. There is a good possibility to bring 2 school buses everyday to the track to teach the skills required to ride a bicycle for health & safety in the community.
We would also like to thank Chris Helwig from Coachchris.ca for all the help organizing all the Volunteers for the meeting on Saturday.
