The Canadian Cycling Association is very concerned about the possibility that the 2005 edition of the Tour de l’Abitibi may not take place.

As an event that attracts an international field, the Tour plays a fundamental role in the development of Canadian junior male road cyclists and it would be a blow to cycling in Canada if the event were to be lost.

The CCA is working with organizer Claude Pagé and the Fédération Québécoise des Sports Cyclistes to find a solution that will ensure the Tour takes place in 2005, that it maintains its international status and that will secure its future.



L’Association Cycliste Canadienne est très inquiète par la possibilité que l’édition 2005 du Tour de l’Abitibi n’ait pas lieu.

En attirant un peloton international, le Tour joue un rôle fondamental dans le développement de nos coureurs junior masculin sur route. Si cette épreuve n’a pas lieu, cela causera un grand vide au niveau du cyclisme canadien.

L’ACC travaille avec l’organisateur Claude Pagé et la Fédération Québécoise des Sports Cyclistes pour s’assurer que le Tour aura lieu en 2005, pour retenir son statut international et pour garantir son avenir.
