2005 TransRockies Challenge: Vancouver and Whistler Info Nights
Courtesy epicmedia
Come and join us for a night of video, refreshments and information on the 2005 TransRockies Challenge. We will be showing the 2004 TransRockies TV show produced by the Ride Guide, and will have past participants from the event there to talk about the race and answer questions. The Vancouver night will be extra special as 2004 TransRockies Champion Andreas Hestler will be on hand to share some of his experiences and impressions of the hardest mountain bike race in North America.
The 2005 edition of the TransRockies Challenge will take place August 7-13. Starting in Fernie, BC, teams of two racers will tackle the 600 km route to the finish in Canmore, AB which includes over 12,000 metres of climbing and three crossings of the Continental Divide on some of the most spectacular riding the Rocky Mountains have to offer. Racers are fully supported with feed stations on course, breakfast and dinner and accommodations from tents to RVs, depending on the race package.
For some, the TransRockies Challenge is a race, but for most, it is a personal test of endurance and mental toughness. Come on out and learn more about the challenge of a lifetime.
