Ride with Rendall Winter Series

The results from Stage 14 of the Ride with Rendall Winter Series can now be view at the Ride with Rendall website. www.ridewithrendall.com

A record 42 riders showed up to experience multi-rider racing in what has become a very competitive series throughout the different categories and and amongst every different rider skill level. Sean Wakefield represented Ride with Rendall nicely by taking another win by less than a second over a hard charging Fraser Atkins in his second ride of the day. In the woman's, Natasha Elliott once again took top spot.

This weekend the racing will once again use the series Time Trial course so riders can try to set new course records and personnel PB's on a profile that has been used once a month throughout the series. The current records are held by Aaron Fillion (37:07.9) from the Ottawa Bicycle club and Natasha Elliott (38.02.6) from CylceLogik Racing.

Call 737-PEAK to book you heat or if you require more information. The heats are filling up but I will continue to add heats as demand warrants so don't delay if you wish to see what multi rider racing is all about. This week will be the last stage of the 15 race series.

Hope to see you there,
Glen Rendall

Critical Mass Roll and RideVancouver, Friday, March 25th

Join fellow bicyclists, skaters, and bladers for a leisurely and spirited ride and roll through the streets of Vancouver. Meet rain, shine, or snow at the Vancouver Art Gallery on the Georgia Street side between 5:00 to 5:30 p.m., and roll and ride at 6:00 p.m. Decorated bicycles, trailers, costumes, signs, lights, noisemakers, sound systems, drums, trailers, and wildly modified bicycles are all highly encouraged.

UBC riders meet at the UBC Bike Hub, on the north east end of the Student Union Building, at 4:30 p.m. for a group ride to the Vancouver Art Gallery. Phone 604-822-BIKE for details.

East Van riders meet 4:00 p.m., leaving 4:30 p.m., from Grandview Park, 1200-block Commercial Drive, for a group ride to the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Celebrated around the world, Critical Mass is a grassroots reclamation of public space - on the last Friday of the month - which allows cyclists and other self-propelled people to move safely and comfortably through city streets in a car-free space. Non-polluting forms of transportation are promoted.
