OCA Track Camp at Forest City Velodrome
The Ontario Cycling Association & London's Forest City Velodrome are pleased to announce the 1st track camp at the new Velodrome beginning on Friday April 22nd thru Sunday April 24th. This camp will introduce riders to the facility and get them up to speed over the weekend.
The purpose of this Camp is to evaluate the fitness and potential of
Junior, Senior, Women riders.
Agenda:
Friday afternoon
6pm - 7pm: Track learn to ride program for 1st time riders of the London Track
7pm - 8pm: On track tempo riding and pace lines to get use to the track.
8pm: Flying 100m timed (this should give us the top speed of the riders)
Saturday
9am - 10am: Warm-up Quickie LTR
10am - 11am: Flying 200m timed - always good measure of speed
11am - noon: Flying 500m x2 timed (give riders minimal recovery 20min.)
2pm - 3pm: Flying 1000m timed (measure the endurance of the riders)
6pm-10pm: Racing Nas-track Madison league & regular mass start races.
Sunday
11am - noon: Standing Start Practice
Noon - 2pm: 100m Standing starts timed
2pm - 2:30pm: 100 lap tempo roll-up to finish the camp
2:30pm- 4pm: Open Track time
Cost: F.C.V.A. & O.C.A. members "no charge" Non Member cost $50.00 for the weekend
Accommodation: Travelodge London 1-519-681-1200. On Exeter Rd - 1 minute to Velodrome. $79.00 / room. Be sure to Mention "Velodrome" to receive a preferred room rate
