Our Mercury Tour reporter, Hank Sydor says, that the mens race was „Chiotti‚s‰ race from start to finish. He was smooth, and fresh through the entire race with enough energy to entertain the crowd with a wheelie across the finish line. Juarez and Swenson battled for second, but in the end it was Swenson who had the staying power.

The women were soooo close. Alison Sydor held the lead for the entire race. Epifanova and Alison Dunlap kept her in sight, but just couldn‚t close the gap. Jimena Florit-Juarez rode a great race in the last lap to move into 4th for the stage and 2nd in GC.

The race cicuit for the past few weeks is becomming a Global village. The Aussies have been training at Breckenridge for 4 weeks now, and there are more and more international riders showing up at US races. This can be attributed to the fact that the World Cup final in Bromont Quebec is just 3 weeks away, and the World in Mt. Ste. Anne are in just 6 weeks. And lets not forget there is lots of other racing going on in the meantime.
