Administrative Coordinator
The Canadian Cycling Association, the national governing body for the sport of cycling in Canada, is seeking a seasonal Administrative Coordinator to manage the administrative duties of our National Introduction to Cycling Program ˆ Sprockids. The CCA is looking for a team player with good administrative, organizational an interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Excellent computer skills;
* Strong written and oral communication skills;
* Be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution at the university or collegiate level;
* An ability to communicate in both of Canada's official languages;
* Previous experience in sports administration.

National Road Coach
Reporting to the Director, High Performance Programs of the Canadian Cycling Association, the National Team Road Coach will be responsible for directing the men's and women's road programs at the Elite, Espoir and Junior levels. This will include providing leadership and support in preparation for athletes competing at World Championships and Major Games, with a focus on the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.

Evaluation of the National Team Road Coach will be based on the position's key responsibilities, which are:

* With the Director, High Performance Programs and the High Performance Coordinator, developing and planning annual programs for all senior and development National Teams, and ensuring they are in line with the goals and objectives of the CCA's strategic, quarterly and Long-Term Athlete Development plans.
* With the other National Team Coaches, ensure that the road National Team programs are coordinated in such a way as to best use the resources available to the CCA.
* Advise the CCA Events Committee on the National Calendar.
* With the National Cycling Centre coaches, ensure that all National Team athletes have adequate coaching support and if necessary help them source this support.
* With the National Cycling Centre coaches, ensure that all National Team athletes adhere to the National Team Athlete Agreement and that there is adequate reporting of the athletes training and competition schedule.
* With the CCA Sport Science Committee and National Cycling Centre coaches, ensure that all data from National Team athletes' activities is gathered in an appropriate format and made available for analysis.
* Analyzing, evaluating and reporting on National Team programs.
* Taking a leadership role on the CCA High Performance Committee in the area of National Team programming, development of selection criteria for World Championships and Major Games, National Team List nominations and AAP Carding nominations.
* With the High Performance Coordinator, ensuring that all programs are run within designated budgets.
* With the High Performance Coordinator, ensuring that all national team projects have competent support staff (managers, coaches, directeurs sportif, soigneurs, mechanics), and ensuring direction and evaluation of this staff.
* Attend key national and international events, including but not limited to National Team training and selection camps, World Championships, Major Games, National Championships, Canada Games, international events in Canada, major meetings, conferences and symposia.
* With the National Cycling Centre coaches, the Director, High Performance Programs and the High Performance Coordinator, ensure that there are adequate outreach programs to provide professional development opportunities to coaches in the context of National Team projects, training camps, conferences, workshops and seminars.
* With the CCA Communications Officer, ensure that National Team Programs, National Team selection and National Team performances are communicated in an appropriate and timely manner to the media and to the cycling community.
* With the Director, High Performance Programs, ensure that the National Team is adequately supplied with equipment to meet its needs, and that marketing and sponsorship opportunities are pursued when appropriate.

The successful candidate must have proven leadership, vision and expertise in the planning and implementation of a high-performance program. International equivalency will be accepted. Proven ability in the technical application of training and competition plans and excellent management and communication skills in English and French are required.

Candidates must be registered in or have completed NCCP Level IV. Minimum Level III NCCP Certification is required. NCCP Course Conductor Status for cycling components of the 3M National Coaching Certification Program would be considered an asset.

Extensive travel both domestically and internationally is required.
