Canada Cup Final Standings
We have modified our standings for the Canada Cup series to reflect the fact that only riders who start the National Championships are counted in the final results. This decreases considerably the number of riders who are listed in certain categories. If a rider raced at the Nationals, but did not finish in the top-25 (and hence did not have any points that count at this event), then there is an NP (no points) beside their name in the Nationals column. You can see the revised lists at Cross-Country and Downhill.
You may notice some discrepancies between our results and the CCA ones. For example, the CCA shows George Visser in 4th overall (Senior Elite Men). However, he did not start the Nationals, so he should not be listed at all. Also, Jason Crookham (same category) is shown by the CCA in 19th place; we have him 7th. The difference is because the CCA did not award him any points for his 19th place result at the Nationals.
In other CCA related news - a decision on the Downhill Makeup race will not be taken until next week.
Please Let Us Know
We will shortly be in a position to offer event organizers the ability to provide online registration for their events through a secure server credit card service. What this means is that if an organizers had set things up with us, you could go to their race page and pre-register online by using a credit card. If you felt uncomfortable about using a credit card online then there would also be the option of telephoning a tollfree number and doing the same thing by telephone.
What we are trying to find out, from both organizers and riders, is if there is a need for this service. Please e-mail your comments and suggestions to us.
