Harwood Hills Says Thanks

Glenn Meeuwisse, Hardwood Hills Cross Country Ski and Mountain Bike Centre

A Great Big THANK-YOU for your support of the 2005 Trek Wednesday Night Series at Hardwood Hills

For our 12th year, it remains the longest running and most popular grass-roots program in Canada, and is a credit to your continued support of mountain biking.

This year we saw a 20% increase in riders, most noticeably with kids and families.

Stats for 2005:

• 18 nights of racing

• 6 race courses to choose

• 4,200 racers timed

• 640 unique riders

• 235 riders per night average, and ∑.

• 340, or 54% of riders ages 15 and under = Future World Champions!

To put these numbers in perspective;

• The nightly average is more riders than a Western Canada Cup Cross Country,

• There are more kids age 15 and under than in both road and mtn O-Cups,

• With 88 kids age 9 and under, 129 kids age 10-12, and 124 kids age 13-15!
