Cycle Ontario Alliance - 2005 Bicycle Conference

Please join the Cycle Ontario Alliance www.CycleOntario.ca and our local hosts (Hamilton and Burlington Cycling Advisory Committees and the McMaster ACT Office www.act.mcmaster.ca) in Hamilton this fall for a day of discussion and information exchange around cycling issues and topics.
The proposed itinerary has great speakers, presentations, and lots of opportunities for networking and interaction including:
Friday night's informal reception (Oct. 21) at the campus' Phoenix Pub from 7:00pm to 11:00pm
Sunday bike rides explore Hamilton's shore (Oct. 23)
Conference Saturday (Oct. 22) with our keynote guest speaker, Dr. Robin Williams, Medical Officer of Health and Commissioner of Public Health, Regional Niagara, with sessions on topics such as:
- Cycling, Health, and Well Being
- Successful cycling plans and how relevant and transferable are they?
- The potential for cycling in Ontario
- Cycling education
- Urban design and cycling
- Cycling Facility design
- Leisure Cycling and Area Wide Cycling Networks
- Expanding the Cycle Ontario Alliance Movement
- Poster session - What's happening for cyclists in your community, or What have you done to promote cycling?
The program is now being finalized; if you still wish to make a presentation call the Program Committee directly.
We are still looking for posters and displays for our poster session (due date October 4).
