Forde Tests Positive
Track cyclist Barry Forde of the Barbados has tested positive for abnormally high levels of testosterone, the UCI announced yesterday. The results came from an in-competition test which took place in October, in France. The UCI has reported the findings to the Barbados cycling federation, which says that it has received the results but declined further comment. No sanctions have been announced at this time.
Forde tested positive for ephedrine in 2003 at the Pan Am championships, and was stripped of two gold medals. In 2005 he won a silver medal in the Keirin at the Track World Championships, as well as two gold medals at the Pan Am track championships.
