U.S. Norba Series Adds Event

The Norba series has added one more event to their schedule, in Sonoma, California. Normally, we would be quite pleased about that, however, they put it on the same weekend as the Canadian National Cross-country Championships (July 15-16)!

Already a U.S. team with Canadian riders has registered their displeasure with the proposed event dates, and we received the following response from an individual associated with the Canadian calendar (who wishes to remain anonoymous):

That's fairly typical from the U.S. They put Nature Valley on top of Beauce this year and all those big-money North Eastern crits on top of Tour de Grand Montreal. There's not a huge amount we can do other than whine because their major events are domestic, not UCI. We have tried consulting with them in the planning stages and all their nice promises are worth nothing.
