After three days of voting, nearly 3,000 ballots have been cast all across the country for the ninth annual Canadian Cyclist Bike Shops of the Year Awards. Cyclists have voted for their favourite shop in every province except Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as the Yukon Territory.
Voting has been particularly strong in PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Alberta. However, voting is lighter than usual in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia, as well as the aforementioned Newfoundland and Labrador. It time to get the vote out!
This has been a tough year for small businesses such as bike shops, so we want to show our appreciation for the ones that have kept us riding. So please nominate your favourite shop. From your votes we will select the top bike shops from across Canada. We will select shops for each region - Atlantic, Quebec (East, West, Greater Montreal), Ontario (East, West, North, Greater Toronto), Manitoba/Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia (Mainland, Island) and Yukon/NWT/Nunavut.
