The silly season has begun for Olympic bikes, with the Australian team unveiling it's Team Pursuit bike, available for sale on the Factor Bikes website "starting at $83,399" (Canadian) - Factor Track Bike. Australia used to work with Canadian firm Argon 18, but has switched to British-based Factor for Paris this summer.

The crazy price is because UCI regulations require that bikes used in competition must be "commercially available". Thus, prices are set at ridiculous amounts - past attempts to buy similar UK bikes always showed 'stock unavailable'. But hey, if you have that sort of coin that you are not doing anything with, try your luck!
