For the first time since 2019, the Canadian Track Championships for Elite/Para/Masters riders were held, on September 1-3 at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario. A total of 106 athletes took part, with numerous national records broken.

Olympic champion Kelsey Mitchell won the most titles, sweeping all four women's sprint events (500m TT, Team Sprint, Sprint and Keirin). She also teamed up with other members of the sprint squad to take a surprising bronze medal in the Team Pursuit - the squad hunted down and caught their opponent in under 1000 metres.

Five other athletes won two national titles - Sarah van Dam, Maggie Coles-Lyster, Nick Wammes, Dylan Bibic and James Hedgcock. On the Para side, Mel Pemble, in Women's C3, was particularly noteworthy for breaking her own national records in both her events. A total of nine new national records were set across all categories. Also of note - Michael Foley came within 0.2 seconds of breaking the men's 4000 metre Individual Pursuit record; a record that was set at extremely high altitude (2600 metres), while Foley's ride was at less than 200 metres of altitude.

Unfortunately, riders won't have a full year to enjoy their titles, with the next edition slated for January 6-8, 2023, in Milton.
